Our Process

We believe in creating meaningful experiences through graphic design. Keeping this as our core value, our process is clear and simple. tahleeya design works to support your vision, communicate your message visually and technically to make lasting connections with your audience. We are here to give you a visual presence that is evocative, moving, and inspiring. We take the time to clearly identify and understand your goals and objectives, enabling us to develop a visual presence unique to your business or organization.

Quote Request

The first step of the process is to gather all details and specifications from you to determine the scope of the project. With this information we form a project evaluation.

Project Evaluation

We can set up a face-to-face meeting or a phone call to go over all of the details together. During our meeting we hope to answer all of your website questions and cover the grounds of your project. At this point we can give you our references as well as a ballpark figure on the budget of the project.

Formal Proposal & Agreement

If you would like to move forward with us, we will put together a proposal for you to review. The proposal also acts as a contract agreement and outlines our process, the project details and associated costs. We estimate a quote based on the amount of hours we believe the project will take from start to finish. Unlike many other design firms, we stick by our quotes no matter if we go over the hours allotted or not, unless something new or unforeseen comes up during the project that was not covered in the original agreement.

Initial Deposit

Once you have decided to move forward after having read and signed our agreement, we generally require a 50% deposit on the project total to get started. Work generally commences on our web and print design projects within 1-2 weeks depending on our work load, and how quickly you are able to provide us with all of the necessary materials in order to get started.

Design Phase

Our professional designer will create the designs and graphics and create a mock-up of your new website or printed material, keeping your industry, preferences and target audience in mind. Depending on the package chosen (a print design or web design project) generally we include several design concepts as well as multiple rounds of revisions. (For print projects skip to launch phase)

Development Phase

Once the web design concept is selected and approved by you, we'll start on the development and production of the site. We code all of our web sites using standards-based XHTML/CSS that is highly cross-browser compatible, fast loading and search-engine-friendly.

Programming Phase

75% of all websites we build are dynamic in some way and require custom web programming to give them the functionality required. Upon your approval of the static XHTML/CSS site layout, we will begin on the programming phase of the project. This phase includes converting the site from static HTML/CSS, to a dynamic, database-driven website. We build a custom Content Management System (CMS) so that you can quickly and easily update your website. We utilize several other computer languages to custom program any special functionality into your website such as Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and Joomla. We will also configure, implement and customize any third-party or open-source web software at this time (e-commerce shopping carts, wordpress, blogs, etc.)

Final Review, Training & Testing

When all of the dynamic web programming has been completed, we will test and go over the website with you. Any final technical tweaks will be completed at this time in preparation for launching the site. You will be trained to use any administration systems that your website may require.

Project Launch!

When everything has been tested and approved, we will request the final 50% payment from you, and launch the new website. If any additional work is required post-launch, we will handle your request on a per-project or hourly basis. Regular maintenance plans are also available based on your needs. Ready to Get Started?
